A Diverse Range of Satisfied Clients

One of the greatest rewards of our work at Coakley Law is the opportunity to collaborate with a wide variety of clients. From small startups to large institutions, we’ve had the privilege of representing clients across numerous industries. Our experience spans from the smallest dog-walking businesses to the world’s largest banking institutions. Here are a few areas where we’ve found particular satisfaction in making a difference:

Construction Industry

My journey in the construction industry began early, with hands-on experience in my grandfather’s small business. I started by digging holes and building fences, sheds, and decks, and continued with a career as a lineman. This "ground-up" experience gives me a unique perspective on the construction sector. I relish working with clients in this field, whether it’s negotiating complex contracts, handling mechanics liens, or managing intricate multi-party construction cases. The construction industry is close to my roots, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to support clients in navigating their legal challenges.

Food and Beverage Service

The food and beverage industry is filled with passionate dreamers, and I take great joy in helping turn those dreams into reality. From setting up a new restaurant or brewery to negotiating leases and handling licensing, my goal is to ease the burden on my clients. I also tackle challenges such as restaurant shake-down scams, which often target vulnerable clients. There’s a special pride in visiting a client’s establishment and witnessing their success firsthand, knowing that I played a part in their journey.

Professionals

As a professional myself, I understand the significance of reputation and the critical nature of legal support in safeguarding it. Over nearly two decades, I’ve had the honor of providing legal services to a wide array of professionals, including architects, engineers, real estate brokers, doctors, and even fellow lawyers. Whether it’s setting up a new practice, negotiating contracts, defending professional licenses, or handling disputes, I am dedicated to protecting the hard-earned reputations of those who trust me with their business.

Non-Profits

Working with non-profit organizations is particularly rewarding. These clients are driven by a mission to make a positive impact, and I am proud to support their efforts. From small, single-person organizations focused on stray animals to large trade associations with thousands of members, I offer legal support that helps these noble enterprises thrive. Volunteering on non-profit boards has also deepened my commitment to these causes, and it’s always an honor to contribute to their success.

Consumers

Consumer protection is a cause close to my heart. After spending years defending large banks and mortgage companies, I realized my true calling was to advocate for individuals against those big entities. Colorado’s consumer protection laws can be challenging to navigate, and I’ve dedicated myself to representing consumers in their fights against unfair practices. From pursuing justice for debtors to challenging unethical business practices, I’m committed to ensuring that the little guy gets a fair shake.
